We took the following video to audition for an opportunity to perform with Music Celebrations.
Starkville/MSU Symphony
Suzuki String Advanced Ensemble members, Abbey and Gracie Swartzendruber, Aidan Dunkelberg, Hope Bassett, and Charity James, auditioned and were chosen to be Student Apprentice members of the Starkville Symphony for the 2016-2017 Season. They are pictured above with Suzuki String Founder and Teachers, Trudy Gildea, Patti Gildea, Lucy, Laura, and Scott Sandifer and Suzuki Program Director Diane Ford.
All performed works by Haydn, Harris, and Mozart at the September 16th Starkville Symphony Concert at MUW’s Rent Auditorium under the Direction of Dr. Barry Kopetz.
Julia Mortyakova, Head of the Music Department at MUW, performed the Piano Concerto No.2 composed by her Mother, Olga Harris.
The next upcoming SSO Free Concerts is the Criss Christmas Concert December 2nd at MSU’s Lee Hall at 7:30 pm.

Please attend one of the Parent Meetings. Suzuki Program dues ($45.00 per Family) and Fall Semester Fees for Orchestra ($65 per student) or for Orchestra and Ensemble ($90 per student), will be collected along with Registration Forms.
Private Lessons: Students and families, please check with your school teachers to see if there is a time during the day you can have a violin lesson. Ford students will begin private lessons after Labor Day. Diane will get in touch mid August to set up her teaching schedule.
