Our year begins this week!

Tuesday 8/30

  • Orchestra  — 3:45 – 4:45
  • Parent Meeting — 4:45-5:15
  • Ensemble — 5:15-5:45

Thursday 9/1

  • Violin Play-In 4:00-4:40
  • Parent Meeting — 4:45-

Please attend one of the Parent Meetings. Suzuki Program dues ($45.00 per Family) and Fall Semester Fees for Orchestra ($65 per student) or for Orchestra and Ensemble ($90 per student), will be collected along with Registration Forms.

Private Lessons:  Students and families, please check with your school teachers to see if there is a time during the day you can have a violin lesson.  Ford students will begin private lessons after Labor Day.  Diane will get in touch mid August to set up her teaching schedule.

I am a poet, translator, and professor of literature and creative writing at Mississippi University for Women, where I direct the Low-Res MFA in Creative Writing, the undergraduate concentration in creative writing, and the Eudora Welty Writers' Symposium. I have published three books of poetry, Barrier Island Suite, Time Capsules, and Landscapes and Architectures, as well as a collection of translations of the Belgian poet Paul Snook, Hercules, Richelieu, and Nostradamus.
