Welcome to new families and welcome back to those who have been in Columbus Suzuki Strings. We are excited to begin another year!

Orchestra and Ensemble begin on Tuesday, August 29.

  • Orchestra 3:45-4:45
  • Parent Meeting 4:45-5:15
  • Ensemble 5:15-5:45

Group Violins begin on Thursday, August 31

  • All Group Play-In 4:00-4:45
  • Parent Meeting 4:45-5:15

Annual dues, fees, and registration forms will be collected at the parent meetings!

Ford private lessons begin after Labor Day. Sandifer students, check with your teachers about when to begin private lessons. All, check with your school to see if you might be able to have a lesson there during the school day.

I am a poet, translator, and professor of literature and creative writing at Mississippi University for Women, where I direct the Low-Res MFA in Creative Writing, the undergraduate concentration in creative writing, and the Eudora Welty Writers' Symposium. I have published three books of poetry, Barrier Island Suite, Time Capsules, and Landscapes and Architectures, as well as a collection of translations of the Belgian poet Paul Snoek, Hercules, Richelieu, and Nostradamus.
