April 21st Concert at MUW

The Belhaven All-State Orchestra is a prestigious event which is open to high school string musicians from across the State of Mississippi.  Students are chosen by audition to take part in this orchestral opportunity. The Concert, which was open to the public, was held on April 14th and included such pieces as Danza Ritual del Fuego by Manuel de Falla,  Concerto per due Violoncelli by Antonio Vivaldi, and L’Arlésienne by George Bizet. > (Workshop Repertoire List for Participants:  Rhythms- Perpetual Motion, Minuet 1, Chorus, Musette, Hunter’s Chorus, W Dance, Gavotte from Mignon, Humoresque, Martini Gavotte, and Gavotte in G Minor.  ***The Advanced strings will work on string ensemble music.
