Group Violins

This June, students in the program were able to meet for group lessons in Carrier Lodge in three groups, beginners, intermediate, and ensemble. All three groups met for four days. The beginners and intermediate students practiced their Suzuki repertoire and worked on note reading skills. The ensemble students worked on new pieces, including Mission Impossible, which after only four days was beginning to sound pretty good, especially since it was recorded on Miss Diane’s phone!

Due to a death in the family, Diane Ford will not teach private lessons Oct. 1-5. Orchestra did meet, but there will be no group lesson on Thursday. Private lessons resume on Monday, Oct. 8. Thursday, Oct. 11 Groups 1 & 2 will meet together. Our condolences to the Ford family.

Watch for weather related news on Thursday’s play-in. If it looks bad, we may postpone by a week, but if Isaac doesn’t cause major problems this far inland, we’ll go ahead as planned.
